Company Profile
The Cnocnafeola Committee ltd. formed in 1989 with the primary aim of developing the social, economic and tourist potential of Atticall Village, in the Heart of the Mournes.

The site for the new development was the parish hall built by local people; know as the “ballroom of romance” in the 1950’s and 1960’s. The Cnocnafeola Centre “off the beaten track” in Atticall, Co Down, operates as a Community business providing accommodation to visitors and employs around ten local people. Fundraising activities in the village contributed £50,000 towards the centre. We were also lucky to access funding from DARD (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development), Millennium Halls and NMDC (Newry and Mourne District Council).
