There are many excellent restaurants, well stocked local shops and even a cinema with five screens within a few minutes walk. The cottage is well placed to enjoy fine walking in the surrounding hills without any need to use the car. It offers stunning views from all rooms. Many of our guests return year after year. The cottage is a traditional Lakeland stone cottage at the end of a row of four. It is set back from the road with a shared green to the front. Immediately outside the cottage there is a very small walled sitting area with a garden bench - facing the right way for the sun! The whole cottage is very comfortable with good quality furnishings throughout. It is fully centrally heated and double glazed. The cottage is fully equipped. You will only need to supply your own sheets, towels and tea towels One well behaved pet accepted by arrangement The front door leads into an L shaped sitting room and dining area with a kitchen off this. The kitchen is new and is fitted to a very high standard with an electric hob and oven, fridge, freezer and microwave. The sitting room with beams and oak flooring has a window seat with wonderful views across to the Langdales, (photograph of view on front of brochure). There is a living flame gas fire, a TV, video, radio CD player and DVD. On the first floor there is a shower room with an instant electrically heated shower, basin and toilet. There is a double bedroom with a double bed, fitted wardrobe and pine furniture. There is a single room on this floor with a fitted wardrobe. A spiral staircase leads to the second floor where there is a large room containing two twin beds and an en-suite bathroom. All rooms have magnificent views. There is a shared courtyard garden round the back of the cottages where there is a utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and a sink. This is also a useful place to hang wet walking gear (the utility room is shared with one other cottage).
